Yang

My name is Yang, I am 12 years old and was born in Xian, China. I was born in a hospital. 

 In China, I had many friends. We played soccer and basketball. In the summer, we went to swim. I felt very happy! I had fun with my friends. I lived in a house with 5 bedrooms. My house was red.

 My Family 

There are five people in my family. My grandpa  is 68 years old and  likes cooking. My grandma likes walking. My mother  is 34 years old. She is a lawyer. She works very hard. Every morning she drives to work. She works from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. She likes watching T.V. and playing basketball. My father is 34 years old. He likes computers because he is computer major. I have four cousins. Two are 18 years old. Two are married. I like my family very much. 

 I like computers and basketball too. When I finish my homework I go to play basketball or computer. I play basketball every day. Every Saturday I can play computer games. In Portland, I study English. I know many English words now.

 I have one dog. It is my good friend. My dog makes me happy. 

Immigration

I came to the United States in 1999.  My grandparents and I took the train from Xian to Baijing to San Francisco. My father picked us up at the airport. We rested in Sacramento for two days. Then we drove up to Portland.  My mother had a nice cooked dinner waiting for us at home. 

My home is in Southwest Portland. It has three bedrooms. It is pretty new and there is a library near my home. I love to live here in Portland. I am very happy. But in the summer I feel lonely in my home.

The Future

I want to live in America in the future. I want to be a basketball player when I grow up. I don't know if I will get married or have kids in the future. I want to be a great basketball player and make big money. Then I can buy a big house and live with my dog ever happily.
